The school grounds are enclosed within walls tot stop any sheep,goats ore donkeys wandering over the playground.Is also helps the teachers to keep a close watch on the children before school and during the breaks.

Every Monday morning the children gather together in front of the veranda for morning prayers.These prayers includes Islamic and Christian elements. After this the Gambia national anthem is sung,wich is customary in all Gambian schools.

During break the children eat the bread they have brought from home or they buy a piece of bread with soms kind of suace on it. This is sold by a woman living in the neighbourhood who is able to earn some extra money in this way
